From Friday, October 5 through Sunday, October 7, four Riverside bus stops at the intersections of Market and 12th streets (stop 1149 and stop 1082), Orange and 12th streets (stop 1150), and Lemon and 13th streets (stop 1445) will be temporarily closed due to construction. Alternative stops will be available. Regular service will resume Monday, October 8. See map for details.

From Friday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. through Sunday, Sept. 30, three bus stops in downtown Riverside at the intersections of Market and Eleventh streets (westbound stop 4609), Market and Eleventh streets (eastbound stops 3502 and 3503), and Market and Sixth streets (westbound stop 3504) will be temporarily closed due to construction. Alternative stops will be available. Regular service will resume Monday, Oct. 1. See map for details.

Beginning Monday, September 24, the northbound Route 8 bus stop (Stop 1376) at the intersection of Palomar and Central streets in Wildomar will be temporarily relocated approximately 50 feet west of the current location due to construction. Regular service to the stop is expected to resume within two weeks. See map for details.
From Friday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. through Sunday, Sept. 23, three bus stops in downtown Riverside at the intersections of University Avenue and Orange Street (Stop #3490), Tenth and Orange streets (Stop #1148), and Market and Fourth streets (Stop #3824) will be temporarily closed due to construction. Alternative stops will be available. Regular service will resume Monday, Sept. 24. See map for details.

Beginning Monday, September 24, RTA will make adjustments to Route 20 and Route 22 school-days-only trips due to low demand. Three Route 20 trips will be reduced from two buses to one, while one Route 22 trip will be discontinued and another reduced from two buses to one.
Route 20: The eastbound 6:14 a.m. trip departing Moreno Valley College and the westbound 6:20 a.m. trip departing Iris and Peninsula will operate with one bus instead of two. The eastbound 3:17 p.m. trip departing Mission Grove at Social Security will operate with one bus instead of two.
Route 22: The southbound 6:48 a.m. trip departing Mission Grove at Social Security to Parsons and Markham will be discontinued, while the other 6:48 a.m. trip departing Mission Grove at Social Security to Perris Station Transit Center will continue to operate. The northbound 3 p.m. trip departing Parsons and Markham will operate with one bus instead of two.
From September 14 through 17, two bus stops in downtown Riverside at the intersection of University Avenue and Market Street near Wells Fargo bank will be temporarily closed due to construction. Alternative stops will be available at the intersection of University Avenue and Lemon Street and Market and 6th streets. See map for route details.

Beginning Wednesday, August 29, bus stop #1222, located at Hamner Avenue and Eastvale Gateway, will be temporarily relocated approximately 200 feet south of Amberhill Avenue due to a long-term construction of Hamner Avenue. The bus stop serves routes 3 northbound and 29 westbound. See map for details.
RTA’s Route 8 is experiencing delays and detours in Lake Elsinore due to the Holy Fire. Grand Avenue is closed between Lakeside High School and Ortega Highway, prompting detours to the route.

The Route 3 bus stop at Norco College will be closed on Thursday, June 7 due to the annual commencement ceremony. A temporary bus stop will be available until 4 p.m. on the north side of the JFK Middle College High School’s Parking Lot #K off Third Street.
Affected Routes: 10, 14, 19, 20, 22, 27 and 41
On Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, from approximately 9 a.m. till 1 p.m., bus routes that serve parts of Riverside, Mead Valley and Perris will experience temporary detours due to the West Coast Thunder Bike Run, which will affect travel on several area streets. Please note that RTA will also operate Sunday schedules during the holiday.
CommuterLink Route 200 service to the San Bernardino Downtown Transit Center will be adjusted when the center closes during major holidays. On those days (listed below), Route 200 will stop on Rialto Avenue just outside the center.

RTA is proud to announce the creation of a new mobility hub at the Promenade Temecula. The project at the existing bus stop on Ring Road will increase the number of shelters and benches from one to three and add improved lighting and sidewalk upgrades. Construction will begin on May 13 and the new hub is expected to open by January 2019. During that time, buses will serve temporary stops near Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que (routes 55 and 79) and at the intersection of Ring Road and General Kearny Road (routes 202, 205, 206, 208 and 217). Effective May 13, CommuterLink Express Route 200’s Riverside-Downtown Metrolink Station stop will be moved from inside the station to outside the station at Bay F on Vine Street, and the La Sierra Metrolink Station stop will be moved from inside the station to outside the station on Indiana Ave. These changes are designed to reduce travel time while providing nearby access to rail connections and parking.
On Friday, April 20, eastbound Route 1 and eastbound RapidLink Gold Line will follow a detour in Riverside due to the closure of Magnolia Avenue between Jackson and Monroe streets. The detour will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Northbound service will not be affected.
From Friday, April 20 to Sunday, April 22, southbound Route 79 will follow a detour in Old Town Temecula near City Hall due to a special event. Normal service will resume Monday, April 23.
On Friday, April 20, routes 1, 13 and 15 will be detoured in downtown Riverside beginning at 7 p.m. due to the Tamale Festival, which will close a portion of Market Street between 10th Street and University Avenue. The detour will be in effect through 10 p.m. Saturday, April 21.
Due to heavy traffic near the March Air Force Base, the Route 11 will follow a detour this weekend that avoids portions of Elsworth Street, Cactus Avenue and Riverside Drive. The detour will be effective Saturday, April 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday April 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Beginning Monday, March 12, all Route 217 weekday northbound trips will exit Rancho California Road instead of Winchester Road, and travel on Ynez Road to avoid traffic delays on Interstate 15. All afternoon and evening southbound trips will continue to use the same alternative routing with a stop at the intersection of Ynez Road and Motor Car Parkway. Schedules will not be affected.
This spring, the Riverside Transit Agency is pleased to announce the enhancement of 24 bus shelters in Eastvale, Hemet, Jurupa Valley, Lake Elsinore, Moreno Valley, Murrieta, Norco, Perris, Riverside, Temecula, Wildomar and Winchester. From March through June, these shelters will remain in service while crews renovate them with a fresh new look. Please note that during construction, these stops will remain in service even though the shelters, bench and trash receptacles may be temporarily removed for up to three days.
