A restructured fare system would allow RTA to keep up with rising operating costs while preserving expanded bus service for the residents of western Riverside County. The fare proposal follows a comprehensive fare study by Carter Executive Consulting Inc., which seeks to keep RTA fares affordable and similar to those of neighboring transit agencies.
