Typical procurement items include:
- Administrative: office supplies, paper products, printing services, janitorial services, software, computer, and communications equipment.
- Maintenance: bus parts, tires, lubricants, tools, and safety gear.
- Operations: security services, service trucks, uniforms, and bus stop amenities.
- Facilities: landscaping, paving, painting, plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning.
As a recipient of federal funds, RTA is required to have a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program which includes a goal for awards made to DBE’s.
