Built in 1884 by Francisco Estudillo, Jr., the San Jacinto residence is all that remains of a 35,000 acre Mexican land grant given to his father in 1842. After passing through many owners, the mansion was purchased by the County of Riverside in 1992, and finally was turned over to the City of San Jacinto in 1998. The residence graces the grounds of Francisco Estudillo Heritage Park which is the site of city-sponsored events when it is often open for tours. The San Jacinto Museum and grounds are open Friday – Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learn more at visitsanjacintovalley.com.
