JUST SO YOU KNOW
Service Change on May 11
On May 11, RTA will make improvements to several routes, including the 1, 3, 8, 12, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 25, 27, 29, 39, 40, 42, 74, 79, 202, 208 and 210. The changes are designed to enhance current service, expand service to popular destinations and improve on-time performance. The upgrades are re•ected in the new Ride Guide available now and online at www.riversidetransit.com.

Expanded Weekend Service to Oceanside
This summer, RTA will make it easier to reach the beach thanks to expanded seasonal service on Rt. 202. Beginning, June 16, the popular route will offer additional weekday and weekend trips to the Oceanside Transit Center from the Temecula area. Round-trip cost is only $3.75. Buses depart from the Murrieta Wal-Mart and Temecula’s Promenade Mall. See Ride Guide Page 177 for schedule or call (800) 800-7821 for details.

New Technology Making Travel Easier
This spring, RTA introduces a new kind of technology that takes the guesswork out of travel forever. Thanks to SmartStop, arrival times are now listed at computerized panels at selected stops in Riverside. Moreno Valley is expected to receive panels this summer. RIDER ALERT
New Senior/Disabled ID Card Outlet
Beginning June 10, Senior/Disabled ID cards will be issued at the YWCA of Riverside County, 8172 Magnolia Ave., on the second Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. till noon. The new Riverside location replaces the Janet Goeske Center, and is served by Rt. 1. For more information, call (800) 800-7821.

UPCOMING MEETINGS & EVENTS
ADA Meeting
The next Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) committee meeting is Monday, May 19 at RTA headquarters, 1825 Third Street in Riverside at 10 a.m. The meeting will address issues related to paratransit and •xed-route bus service in Western Riverside County.

Board Meeting
On Thursday, May 22 at 2 p.m., RTA’s Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting at Agency headquarters, 1825 Third Street in Riverside. A public comment period begins each meeting.
