RIVERSIDE, CA — (October 24, 2007) — The reopening of Highway 76 in San Diego County has prompted the Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) to resume service on Route 202 beginning tomorrow.
Service on the route had been suspended since Tuesday due to wildfires in northern San Diego County. Route 202 provides express service between Temecula and Oceanside, using portions of the Interstate 15 and Highway 76.
All other RTA routes continue their regular service and hours of operation.
The Riverside Transit Agency provides public transportation for Western Riverside County, operating 39 fixed routes, 5 commuter routes, and senior and disabled Dial-A-Ride service. RTA’s service area spans 2,500 square miles, the second-largest in the nation.
