TO ASSIST DISABLED, SENIOR PASSENGERS
IN
SOUTHWEST COUNTY
Southwest
Riverside County residents won’t
have
to travel far to get their senior
and disabled identifi cation cards
for discounted travel
on Riverside Transit Agency (RTA)
buses.
Beginning
May 24, RTA will begin issuing
identifi cation cards in Temecula
at the Mary
Phillips Senior Center, 41845
Sixth Street. The new location
is designed to better
serve RTA passengers living in
Temecula, Murrieta and Lake Elsinore.
RTA
will issue senior and disabled
identifi cation cards at the senior
center every fourth Wednesday
of the month between
10 a.m. and noon.
Any
person who meets RTA disability
requirements or seniors age 60
or above is eligible
for a discounted fare on all
RTA
fi xed-route services. RTA also
issues senior and
disabled cards in Riverside and
Hemet. Anyone wishing to apply
for a discounted fare
should contact RTA at (800) 800-7821.
The
Riverside Transit Agency provides
public transportation for Western
Riverside County, operating 38
fi xed routes, 5 commuter routes
and 15 demand response services.
